Pokemon Go has been taking the world by storm, and it’s- Sorry, hold on. Just catching a Jigglypuff. OK. Carry on. Like we were saying, Pokemon Go has been taking the world by storm, and it’s become a bit of a craze at Wonderush HQ. We’re constantly in need of our nearby Pokestops so we can replace all the Pokeballs we waste on the huge number of Drowzees that seem to be resident in our office. But when we’re out and about of an evening it’s also useful to know if we’re going to be able to stock up on the necessaries. So, we put together a list of the Pokestops we can find at Wonderush activities. It’s always good to know where your next poke-goodies are coming from, after all.
There doesn’t seem to be a pokestop directly in Urban Coterie, but there are definitely some great ones just outside. And what better way to make an awesome morning than picking up some essentials before and after a great early-morning yoga session with included breakfast?
Everybody likes a laugh, and TheGood Ship has some of the best comedians in the country. It’s an awesome venue with a great atmosphere, and now comes with added pokeballs. What could be better?
The Pleasance is another great venue in London and now, in addition to bringing some of the best shows from the Edinburgh Fringe into town, it also provides audience members with a chance to grab a few essential items (but please not during the show).
Comedy on a boat was always pretty freakin’ cool anyway. Now, not only do you have the chance to see London from the river, but you can seize the opportunity to plunder a pokestop like a badass poke-pirate.
During GB Active’s awesome bootcamps you end up running around the park quite a lot. We’re not going to lie – we’re very unfit and it was a tough ask. Luckily there’s now an extra incentive with the addition of not one, but several pokestops.
Learn how to make a mean cocktail (or three) and top up your backpack at the same time, because you are a brilliant multitasker who definitely deserves a drink.
The Tamesis Dock is a barge on the Thames. That barge on the Thames is a pokestop, which always comes in handy. That barge on the Thames is also the home of Karauke, which is karaoke with a ukulele backing which is, in turn, a thing you didn’t know you needed in your life, but now that you’ve heard the idea it’ll never leave your mind.
The Duke of Cambridge is the ideal place to go when you feel the urge to show off (come on, guys. We all have that occasionally.). Not only can you take part in their weekly quiz, but you can show off your poke-prowess at the same time.
Knowing you’re running out of Pokemon Go Supplies can be stressful. Luckily, you can find a pokestop on the Southbank and, if it’s all getting a bit much, you’ll also find a great Laughter Yoga class. It’s definitely a thing.
Love listening to music while you Pokemon Go? Well, now you can take that to the next level, by going to live gigs and still keeping on top of all of your Pokemon needs. Ditch the headphones and stock up while you rock out.
So what do you think? Are you all over Pokemon Go or are you in the camp that can’t wait for the craze to Go away? If you’re in the game, what team are you on? We’re split between Mystic and Instinct and it would help us to settle a few in-office debates. If you’re a fan of the game don’t forget that this list isn’t exhaustive, if you come across other Wonderush activities which are also Pokestops, don’t forget to let us know!
